Naomi Beard’s greatest passion is to equip and release people into fruitful ministries.  Not only has her experience validated this passion; her background has uniquely qualified her to be a trailblazer for contemporary leaders in both national and international ministries, allowing them to benefit from her wisdom and experience in becoming established and mobilized.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Naomi was raised in Fresno, California. She graduated with honors from LIFE Bible College in Los Angeles in 1971 where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Practical Theology, with minors in Music and Christian Education.  Following graduation, Naomi traveled throughout the United States and Canada as an evangelist and public relations representative for LIFE Bible College before settling in as an Associate Pastor at The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, California; where for more than twenty years, she worked under the leadership of Dr. Jack Hayford.

During her tenure at the church, Naomi pastored more than thirty-five hundred women annually as Director of Women’s Ministries, developing a dynamic ministry known as the Women On The Way which continues to have local, national and international influence to this day.  The church also benefited from her service as Director of Worship Ministries, Coordinator of Children’s Music, Executive Director of The King’s Institute, Director of the High School Choir, and Decorator, Designer and Special Events Planner.

Naomi is an accomplished pianist, composer and vocalist, who is also a compelling worship minister.  Through her gifted preaching and teaching, she has touched many lives.  Her relational and open-handed style of ministry combined with hope and creativity, grace and fervor, has been used by God to help others seek their calling and achieve their best whether individually or corporately.  Naomi is an ordained Foursquare minister.

Naomi has served the church by:

  • Ministering internationally in Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Papua New Guinea and various locations throughout Europe, South America and Asia
  • Serving two 4-year terms on the Board of Directors for the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel
  • Coordinating international guests for the first “Women’s Luncheon Session” for Pentecostal World Fellowship Conference in May 2001
  • Giving oversight to the international women’s leadership of the Worldwide Church of God
  • Ministering effectively in Japan through the use of Black Gospel Music
  • Serving as Events Coordinator for Perfecting Faith Church and its outreach to pastors and churches in the Greater New York and Tri-State areas through The New York Call
  • Assisting Perfecting Faith Church in establishing a new church plant, Perfecting the Heart Family Worship Center, in Chester, South Carolina
  • Serving as an adjunct professor at The King’s College and Seminary in Van Nuys, California

Naomi has served her community as:

  • Women’s Director of the San Fernando Valley Corps of the Salvation Army
  • Board member of Valley Medical Hospital
  • Committee member of Concerned Women of America
  • Committee member for the Women’s Foundation for Cable Television to the San Fernando Valley
  • Vice President of local Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Naomi currently resides in Los Angeles, California; and while highly expectant that the Lord has ordained a “new day” for the body of Christ she continues to love and inject the world with all of her creative, relevant, and biblically based gifts through her ministry called Touch of Grace Ministries.
