Proverbs 18:16 says, “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” As anyone who knows me can attest, this scripture has truly been fulfilled in my life. God gave me this verse at the tender age of thirteen; and then He later added to it with I Kings 8:56: “…There has not failed one word of all His (God’s) good promise which He promised…” Since receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, He has brought me into “large places” and before “great men;” while my part has always been to trust Him as I choose to “break out of smallness” and break into the “greatness.”
Because of what God through His grace has done for me, my goal is to come alongside people as they navigate the next steps of their potential, lives, and ministry, helping them to break out of all areas of their own smallness and limitation as they confidently embrace the new and soar above the norm.
I hope to encourage you to…
- Never allow smallness, debasement, family rejection or other setbacks in life keep you from moving forward in ALL YOU UNDERSTAND that Jesus has for you. For where you are “blind” or unknowledgeable, He is sure to place teachers and encouragers in your path so that you will learn and be an “overcomer” in all areas of your life.
- Cross over many imaginary lines that have been drawn to exclude, hold back, or create a sense of fear, making you paralyzed and/or causing you to think there is no possible way for you to keep moving forward.
- Keep following Jesus and encouraging others to do the same, despite the costs… despite the challenges and painful circumstances.
- Disregard death-dealing words. Instead choose whose words you are going to believe and trust, remembering what Jesus says about you, so that you may risk everything as you CHOOSE to follow Him.
- Say to Jesus – “TODAY (everyday) I refuse to remain any longer where I am and how I am… I cross over this line of…”
- Fear
- Shattered dreams
- The illusion of past sins and lifestyles
- Past hurts and abuses
- Financial challenges
- Marriage issues
- Family issues
- Children issues
- Destructive words spoken to you and over you
- Shame
- Disappointments
- Church hurts (present and past)
- Relationships that control and/or keep you broken in heart and/or spirit
- Lies that hold you captive
And finally, but most importantly,
- Determine to forgive. Don’t allow yourself to be stuck in the tragedies of your past. Allow Jesus to set you free – so you can move on with your life.
